secret cove

Sunday 4-23-2006 9:31am
- I was driving through the highway, oversized sunglasses on my nose, as the sun trickled on its rising horizon, it was a hot summer day, the road was familiar enough, mountains on my left, endless water on my right.. The ocean looks wonderful. I thought. I saw a shade of trees nearby and I slowly pulled over, not really thinking, i folded up my well-worned jeans, and went down over the rocks, as if the water was calling me.. I sat down and admired the view.. I waded my feet on the water, it was cold & it felt good on my tired feet..I watched little fishes swam around nearby.. The sun felt warm on my skin, as my mind wandered to a daydream.

this is how i spent my sunday morning,
in my secret cove..
i missed posting here. :)
beginnings & dreams
Thursday, January 05, 2006 7:44 PM
The time has come like winter's chill This call for letting go All substance lost in once fair dreams On cutting winds they blow
Hope does not flee in one mad rush It chips and flakes with time The heart beats, empty, hollowed out Tired eyes no longer shine
This is the time for letting go Make room for brand new dreams A time to stop, to breathe and heal, To sail down different streams
"A time for letting go" - Anonymous
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
One of the hardest thing in life is letting go, of good memories, of relationships, of good friendship, because of something unrepairable. We're only human, we make mistakes..And letting go means the end. It hurts, and most of the time sad. But in every story, a book read, as it ends, to we stop there? No. We pick up another book, maybe not right away, but we do nonetheless. And this book starts with a new fresh beginning.. of silly scenes, of life's ways, of mistakes, of good things.. This is how i see letting go. When you let go, you open up a new horizon for your life. New dreams, new scenes.. a fresh new page, unwritten, to start with, just for you. And you are the author, you have the power to write the lines in your new book. After a let go.
As the new year starts, it's time to pick up new dreams or continue started ones. it's time to make your new page, your new book, worth reading in the end. You can still review your old books, and see your mistakes to make you a better person.. to see what went wrong and correct them. In your new book it's time to live your life to the fullest, to grow and be a better person. For yourself, for God, and for those that are important in your life. Good luck with writing your new book. Write it to be worth reading, reminiscing in the end.

My second life
Saturday, December 17, 2005 3:27 PM
Dec 16, 2005
I will never forget this day for the rest of life. For when the clock ticked that day.. I got my second life.
http://news.inq7.net/breaking/index.php?index=2&story_id=60162
I was inside that bus, me and and maam Joy was going home from Manila after a General Assembly. I thought I was inside a nightmare. Gunshots were heard everywhere. A bullet even missed maam Joy's head. I think my eardrums is still impared with the noise of the gunshots.. In less than 5 minutes of shoot-out 6 were injured, one of them was even a woman who was stabbed by a knife by one the culprits, blood was everywhere. I am thankful me and maam Joy came out alive and uninjured. I still think what about the Christmas of those people who were injured and shot. I am still praying that no one died. My phone is gone, but that is the least of my concerns.. I am now living my second life.
I felt that i was going to die any minute in that bus, my last words were a prayer.. It reminded me, we have a short life to live, one day we might be alive the other we might not.
I thank God that I still have the chance to live mine.
devDays 2005 (the aftermath)
Wednesday, October 26, 2005 2:44 PM
We've just attended the Microsoft DevDays 2005 yesterday at Edsa Shangri-la, it was a huge success, there were so many attendees that they had to put up extra seats (filling up Isla Ballroom). The sessions were really great, I attended, VB6 to VB.NET Migration (though not really that helpful for me since i'm a sharpist ^^)), Future Directions for Developing Rich Web Applications with Atlas (I can't wait to try Atlas on my web apps), Visual Studio Tools for Office 2005, (I had a glimpse of this way back on our Lap Around Visual Studio 2005 seminar given by Stanley Tan) and Windows Presentation Foundation code-name "Avalon". I am excited to see Avalon at work, it is a totally different approach in Animation.
Good thing I was an MSDN Connection member, members get to have an additional freebie and get to join the Xbox raffle. I even got to join PhiNUG (Philippine .NET Users Group).
the food was great, the freebies were great, a few faces were familiar, and the guy who got the Xbox was really lucky. :) hehe..
I'll be posting pictures of the event later. :D

Lifehouse - You And Me
what day is it and in what month this clock never seemed so alive I can't keep up and I can't back down I've been losing so much time
cause it's you and me and all of the people with nothing to do nothing to lose and it's you and me and all of the people and I don't know why I can't keep my eyes off of you
all of the things that I want to say just aren't coming out right I'm tripping inwards you got my head spinning I don't know where to go from here
cause it's you and me and all of the people with nothing to do nothing to prove and it's you and me and all of the people and I don't know why I can't keep my eyes off of you
there's something about you now I can't quite figure out everything she does is beautiful everything she does is right
you and me and all of the people with nothing to do nothing to lose and it's you and me and all of the people and I don't know why I can't keep my eyes off of you
you and me and all of the people with nothing to do nothing to prove and it's you and me and all of the people and I don't know why I can't keep my eyes off of you
what day is it and in what month this clock never seemed so alive

Y4IT and the likes
Saturday, September 17, 2005 1:12 PM
yup i'm 20.. i just had my bday last sept. 14, hehe.. twenteen.. that was all the drama was about. but i'm not gonna blog about that today :)
we went to the Y4IT event yesterday (2nd day). The Embedded Systems talk was pretty good, The java talk was pretty good, the Vista talk was not what i expected.. actually that was the greatest reason that we went to the 2nd day instead of the 3rd. hmm. gotta scoot for now, but i'll have a late blog for that, ;)
ciao for now pips!
adjusting
Sunday, September 11, 2005 12:12 AM
A normal Saturday, I'm still on this "adjusting" stage here at theSpoke, tried the gallery (there are still errors when you click here and there), subscribed to a few blogs (there's a difficulty in subscribing to a blog unless one uses the whobar.. hhmmm). I think this version should still be in beta. This one is really not that 'user-friendly', if one is not into computers and wanted to, let's say, blog here, he/she would find difficulties in adjusting and feeling the functionalities.. I got to read the feedbacks about theSpoke ver2. functionalities, errors, etc, even the interface. I couldn't blame all the comments it had (even the bad ones) what can i say? most of the bloggers here are developers, and they had expectations, and some, just really got dissapointed.
And I realized I learned something from that, when you get dissapointed, you have 2 choices, it's either you choose to live with it, or not. And that doesn't just apply here, it applies to life.
ciao pips! have a great weekend ^^)

Saturday, September 03, 2005 1:22 PM
finally back from blogging, after a few days off :), we had a few problems with the server's cache here at the office, so we weren't able to view thespoke ver2 for awhile..
me and my officemates attended the Lap Around Visual Studio 2005 which was conducted by Mr. Stanley Tan last Thursday (Sept 1). It was really good, actually i'm pretty much excited to upgrade to VS 2005, can't wait to get my hands started on web development with that.. Like to congratulate Mr. Stanley Tan for that really good seminar he conducted.
by the way, to those who couldn't attend the seminar but wanted to, i think there'll be another one, after two weeks time, it'll be announced @ MSEVENTS.PH.
