yumyum..
august 20 - concert at sto. tomas, davao del norte. it was really fun.
my first concert with the himig singers. after the show, we were screaming to

really wanted to give the horror train a try, unfortunately, it was
past 11pm and the journey back to the city is still an hour away.. the
concert's repertoire includes:
Intro Lead Me Lord & Pambansang Awit
Part I. Katakataka

august 16 - kadayawan concert at the centennial park,.dined at Jo's Inato Restaurant along quirino ave., then videoke to the
max at madayaw.
august 19 - no work
august 20 - engagement at pearl farm resort - garden wedding of mr. and
mrs. lito sy. it was great, except for 'our' food.. waaa. no comment..
red & white wines were served during the cocktail, with roasted
calf.. and ice cream.. beautiful sounds (acoustix with violin - the
best), and great fireworks display. we serenaded them with love songs
(the very thought of you, just the way you look tonight, till there was
you, moonriver and smoke gets in your eyes) with few inspiring songs
(you raise me up and the light of a million mornings) and also a
broadway medley..
that's all for now.. im going to watch a movie tonight.. am so excited.. ^(",)^

i am bored...
Wednesday, August 10, 2005 8:22 AM
i am bored! got nothing to do here in the office.. i miss teaching.. i
miss giving quizzes and projects.. i miss calculating grades, few hours
before the deadline.. i miss climbing 6th floor early morning for my
first period.. waaaa.. i miss everything.. in fact, i miss someone..
joke! hehehe..
anyway, you might ask what happened to me with these past few days?
well, i've been busy practising for our incoming concert at sto. tomas
this coming saturday and attending workshops at uic bajada.. its
draining my energy.. but i'm happy, though..
***
last sunday, august 7, was my 21st birthday.. i started celebrating my
day few minutes after 12am.. we went to first lady videoke bar, drank a
little and sang a lot (videoke to the max!)..
lunch was prepared at my grandpa's house.. after that, i attended a
singing workshop at uic bajada. i went to church (st. jude parish) with
my friend milan afterward.. you know what's funny? when we entered the
church, rain poured from the heaven.. hehehe..is it a blessing or a
warning? who knows.. i admit that i haven't attended a single mass
since the last week of june.. bad me! anyway, we expected much worse
than that.. hehehe..
we visited pastor buenaventura at davao doctor's hospital (maggy's
dad), dined at penong's, fetched maggy at their church and proceeded to
basti's brew where we spent the remaining minutes of my day (talking
about life and its complications, love and lust and the concept of
moving on).. we went home around 12:05am of august 8..
***
before i forgot, im inviting you to watch our concert with davao boys
choir at sto. tomas this coming saturday 7:00pm.. its proceeds will be
used for the renovation of a church (i forgot the name) located there..
songs like bulaklak, the coconut nut, can you feel the love tonight,
heal the world and abba acapella will be included in the repertoire..
also, this coming kadayawan day, august 16.. there will be a concert at
centennial park.. 250-voice choir consisting of different choirs here
in davao including um chorale, grand euphonic chorale, ateneo carillon
glee club, usep chorale, uic high school choir, holy cross high school
choir, davao boys choir, etc.. singing different mindanao's finest
choral compositions.. himig singers will render 2 songs; popong
landero's "paduda" and "ilay gandangan" (gods of the sun).. that's
all..
'til then.. mwah!
I'm sick...
Thursday, July 14, 2005 5:51 AM
it's been a month since the last time i blogged... well, i've been busy
for these past few days: reports, trainings, practices.. it's draining
my energy. that's one of the reasons why i'm not feeling well today. my
migraine 'attacked' (it really hurts.. it feels like i wanted to smash
my head with a hammer so that it'll open up and then i'll pull out my
brain and crush it with my own hands! aaaaah), got tonsilitis and colds
, and my tooth ache.. i'm scheduling myself for a checkup this coming
saturday.. why this saturday? why not now? 'cause i've got work.. no work, no
money.. no money, no check-up..
did you know that dentists are one of my childhood enemies? yup, i hate
dentist! and doctors too.. i hate those syringes that they are
'injecting' in my body.. it hurts.. waaaa! but this coming saturday
will be the judgement day.. hope it doesn't hurt...
that's it for now... tc, spokedom! (",)
There's no such thing as "TOO LATE"...
Thursday, June 09, 2005 4:06 AM
2 days ago, at addu matina during the 3rd capping & pinning of
future nurses, I saw my former edp student. I really can't believe what
I saw... Maam Beth was one of the candidates for the ceremony…I can
still remember, she's always, I mean almost always, late in my 7:40 MWF
class, like me before... (^_^) The reason? She was busy attending the
needs of her offspring before going to school... Sometimes, she would
call the office and tell me that she can't come because her daughter is
sick. Btw, she's already in her mid-40's.
She used to work at one of the departments of addu college unit before
she decided to enroll the nursing course. She used her retirement fee
as her capital in taking the course. I even asked her the reason why
she took nursing. She told me that her salary is not that big to
support her growing family. She wanted to help. She even mentioned her
plans of going abroad, if she will pass the licensure exam. (I really
am hoping and praying that she will. ^_^)
I used to address her as ma'am before, during my college days. Still I
call her ma’am during our period. The only difference is that, she is
now calling me sir. ^_^ When she climbed the stage last night, I almost
wanted to cry. I can't explain the feeling. She's smiling, you could
see in her eyes, while her clinical instructor is pinning and putting
her cap. I’m so proud of her!
She’s really not that good in class but the thing that set her apart
from the class, aside from his age, was her eagerness to learn. You
could see in her face that she really wants to learn these things.
She's been using ms word and excel for how many years already but
still, she admitted, that there are still a lot of things that she
didn't know. After the semester, she gave me a letter. I kept her
letter in one of my 'memory box'... it says:
11 October 2004
Dear Sir Leggy,
Hello!
I'd like to say "Thank You" for being such a nice and understanding teacher. Thank you for taking the pain to teach our "magulong" section plus "late learners" people like me... But you're good - and you have the potential to excel in you field. Good Luck!
Sincerely,
'Te Bebeth Dongiapon
I realized that there is really no such thing as “too late”… if you’re really determined, you will succeed in all your endeavors… That’s all for now! Tc, Spokedom! ^_^
Eat, Drink & Sleep! Work, Sing & Play!
Monday, June 06, 2005 8:58 AM
We, The Himig Singers,
had our group pix last night at the New Jersey Studio, NCCC Mall. A
while ago, they (I did not join the engagement) sang at the City Hall
of Davao for its Flag Ceremony (7:30 am). Aside from the Pambansang
Awit, they also sang “Lead Me Lord” for the invocation. For the intermission number, they did a rendition of The Company’s “Hanggang Sa Muli” and Smokey Mountain’s “Da Coconut Nat” .
Anyway, I’m so excited for our trip to Polomolok, South Cotabato this
coming June 17. As what I’ve heard, we’ll be singing (for 20-30
minutes) purely OPM songs; including Sharon Cuneta’s “Bituing Walang Ningning” and “Sana’y Wala ng Wakas” , our very own Popong Landero’s “Paduda” , Leo Valdez’ “Magsimula Ka” , Viva Hot Babes’ “Bulaklak” , and Ryan Cayabyab’s “Hibang Sa Awit” and “Kahit Ika’y Panaginip Lang” . I really hope “Usahay”
would be included in the repertoire. I really love that song. ^_^ And
as for the wedding engagement for the following day: our repertoire
would include Martin Nievera’s “With You” , Ariel Rivera’s “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin” , Janno Gibbs and Jaya’s “Ikaw Lamang” , Sharon Cuneta’s “Ikaw” , The Carpenter’s “You” , The Platter’s “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes” , Henry Mancini’s “MoonRiver” , Frank Sinatra’s “Just The Way You Look Tonight” , Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli’s “The Prayer” , my favorite “The Prayer of St. Francis” , etc… (^_^)
***
I’ve just finished my last report. For the past days, I’ve been so busy
generating month-end reports including inventory, sales and
production... so darn tiring. Not to mention the emotional conflict I’m
undergoing since last week. And because of these, my body gave up. Yup,
I’m sick! (T_T) but its not that serious. I’m having colds at the
moment. My mother advised me to rest and drink lots of water. And
that’s what I’m doing now. Eat, eat, eat. Water, water, water. Sleep,
sleep, sleep. Then, work, work, work. Sing, sing, sing. And lastly,
Play, play, play. (^_^) Can’t resist the temptation of DOTA. Bwahahaha.. Mmmmmonster Kill!
***
I’ve told my non-CS friends, that we should be having a summer-end
party to unwind and prepare ourselves for the new semester of our
lives. Everybody will be very busy especially those who are now in
their final years in college. Thesis, case studies and OJT. We would be
spending less time with each other. But its ok. We would still be
hanging out once a week, I’ll try. ^_^
Anyway, I really missed my CS4 ‘04 classmates. Its been a
year and 2 months. Waaaaa! I miss ‘schooling’! Hanging out at the 6th
floor of Fajardo Building! Eating at food court, 3Ms and CityTri.
Playing games at Boyztrek and FRB. Whole-day Outings and overnight
Retreats (oh, I love retreats! ^_^), Strolling and watching movies at
GMall or SM! Beach or Pool Party. Overnight ‘progging’ sessions! T_T I
really wished they are all happy, wherever they are right now. We’re
moving on with our lives now, and I’ll always be thankful that once in
my life, they’ve become a part it. As what exander posted last week: “… We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other everywhere." ^_^
***
Last week, alumni scholars of Metrobank Foundation Inc. gathered at Kuya Eds to discuss matters regarding the establishment of MBFI ASSET Davao Chapter.
The objective of the organization is to form a group of alumni scholars
committed on service, excellence and social transformation. I’ll give
you the details later, after we finalize everything.. ^_^

Ei, just want to share to you this song. Its one of my favorites entitled “Afraid for Love to Fade” by Jose Mari Chan.
My head’s in a jam, can’t take you off my mind
From the time we met, I’ve been beset by thoughts of you
And the more that I ignore this feeling,
The more I find myself believing
That I just have to see you again
I can’t let you pass me by, I just can’t let you go
But I know that I am much too shy to let you know
Afraid that I might say the wrong words and displease you
Afraid for love to fade before it can come true
Like a child again, I’m at a loss for words
How does one define a crush combined with longing?
Longing to possess you oh so dearly
I’m obsessed by you completely
I’ll go mad if I can’t have you
I can’t let you pass me by I just can’t let you go
But I know that I am much too shy to let you know
Afraid that I might say the wrong words and displease you
Afraid for love to fade before it can come true
***
That’s it for now. Tc, spokedom! ^_^
P.S. I didn’t took any load this semester. Maybe next sem. I
wanted to concentrate on my current work. Hehehe.. ^_^ Btw, my boss
will be coming tomorrow. I’m very much pressured by his presence. ‘quel

Saturday, May 14, 2005 1:26 AM
|
i really can't believe i'm blogging again.. hehehe.. anyway, i’ve just
finished doing my assignments for today (updates on the inventory
program, product quotations and canvass sheets, product inquiries,
updating sales & inventory reports, unending phone calls,
advertisement contracts, etc.), what a relief though I still have to
finish those projects before the company's president decides to visit
us here at the office.. (good thing he's based in manila.. he only
visits us once a month…hehehe.. :D)
i’m going home now, but before that, there’s something i need to do … and that is… DOTA!!!
hehehe.. i’m a little bit obsessed with dota lately, dunno why.. good
thing we don’t have any choir prax today.. i’m totally worn out…
nwy, i really wanted to eat.. (i forgot to take my breakfast and lunch).. after that, i’ll watch ‘encantadia’
:D then zzZZzzzZZz… yup, that’s my routine everyday.. work, play, prax,
home... as much as possible i want to enjoy everything that I am doing,
doesn’t matter if it will consume my money, energy and time, as long as
I’m happy, its fine with me.. hehehe…
btw, I would like to share to you this famous line from one of my favorite books: tuesdays with morrie..
“so many people walk around with
meaningless life. they seem half-asleep, even when they're busy doing
things they think are important. this is because they're chasing the
wrong things. the way you get meaning into your life is to devote
yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around
you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose
and meaning.”
agenda for tomorrow: singing engagement
at sta. ana parish, dinner will follow at marco polo.. then, uhmmm..
party all night long!!! hehehe.. that’s all for now, tc everyone!!!

sirLegs, god of SEX...
Thursday, May 12, 2005 12:59 AM
Frey Indeed, you are 62% erudite, 70% sensual, 50% martial, and 58% saturnine. |
| Frey was, just like his twin sister Freya, a member of the Vanir family and thus a God of fertility and love. Along with Odin and Thor he was one of the most popular Norse
Gods, and received many offerings. He was said to have control of the
weather, both rain and sunshine, thus the fertility of the earth.
Prayers were also offered to Frey for a good future, peace and
prosperity. Frey is described as being handsome, powerful, merciful and kind.
Fitting considered he was - let’s be frank - the God of sex. His cult
included songs and actions which shocked contemporary and later
Christians, who condemned them as indecent, which they of course were
not to the participants in the cult themselves. Frey lived in Alfheim, "Elf-home", a name which indicates a
possible connection between Vanir and Elves. His servant was the
Goddess Beyla, who was all about bees and dairy. Not to far
off, I think, as “Milk and Honey” and the things that Frey stands for
are equally sweet. |
|
My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:
|
|
You scored higher than 11% on erudite |
|
|
You scored higher than 40% on sensual |
|
|
You scored higher than 28% on martial |
|
|
You scored higher than 50% on saturnine | |
