Skype? My friend
Firedancer told me about it today and it sounded really interesting indeed. She has reviewed it and it sounds like it performs well compared to MSN Messenger and similar programs.
Skype is a free Internet Telephony program which allows you to make free calls. I want to give it a try but it's 10MB to download and I'm on dial up now. D*mn!
