Buy Sell
Saturday, May 14, 2005 12:44 PM

Well, been very much busy with stuff till I didnt have much time to blog. Nothing interesting happened recently. Well, I sold of my Ipaq h6365 due to loads of reasons which I am not able to specify here. I then got myself the Samsung SGH-E720C which is said to be released in Malaysia on the 13/05/2005. Supposed to be an enchancement of the 700C series. It's actually kinda good with a lot of features with a 262k colour screen as well...

Birthday!
Sunday, April 24, 2005 1:50 PM

Today (30th March) is actually my 21st birthday. Some people say that it marks freedom, but to me I feel everything is the except that I have to be more responsible from now onwards. Yesterday just before midnight, my parents and my aunty surpised me, with a cake, my mum gave me two shirts, and some pocket money. Relly didnt expect it.

Then today my gf surprised me. She baked a cake - Mocha Fudge Cake and asked me to blow the candle. The cake was yummy! She then took me out, we went to watch the movie "Hitch" - not bad of a movie actually. 4/5 stars for that. Then she took me to "Chilli's" and had a feast! Now I'm so full! It didnt end there, she surpised me again with a motion glitter lamp which I always liked. Green which is my favourite colour as well.! Neat!

The present before it was opened. Green wrapper as well. He He He

Blog Bloggedy Bloggedy Blog
Sunday, April 24, 2005 1:49 PM

Gosh! I havent blogged in such a long time! Loads of work, with Exams and Projects. What has been happening in theSpoke lately? Better go snoop around later. Nothing really that interesting happened till I couldn't wait to blog about but yeah, I changed my phone.

I sold my Nokia 7610 and my Ipaq 2210 and bought a pda phone! the Ipaq 6365. A real marvellous machine indeed. The useful part I find in it is the WiFi feature - Online on the go!

The thumb keyboard is really handy indeed. Especially when you are to use MSN Messenger or even typing in a different language other than English. I heard there is an upcoming model too I think its Ipaq Hw6500? You might want to check it out here.

Earthquake?
Tuesday, March 29, 2005 11:19 AM

I was just sitting here and suddenly felt my chair shaking? Is this a ghost? The shiver went down my spine followed by goosebumps. My dad then came and told me its an earthquake! I was like... Hope not much damage is around even though around 2000 is estimated dead in Sumatra, May their souls rest in peace...

Docking Taskbar
Monday, March 28, 2005 10:57 AM
Back to revamping my desktop, and with a suggestion from Firedancer. Do check out her blog too on the enhancements she has made as well. Things are beginning to look really cool! As you can see on the docking taskbar, when I move my mouse over an icon it magnifies.

I have switched to Slate Visual Styles but retaining the M3 theme as well. Thinking of more stuff to blend around with...

Desktop Sidebar
Saturday, March 26, 2005 10:56 AM

Would it be complete without a side bar? Thank to Firedancer, I now have a very stable and cool desktop sidebar. Lots of links and features included with it. Nice "eye-candy" for fun even though I know it eats up memory :(

Notice that the IE window fits inside the sidebar and does not cover it? Kewl!

PC Transformation
Monday, March 21, 2005 9:51 AM

I haven't blogged in a while due to the reason that my hard disk drive had crashed. I dont know why and also do not want to know why! So I got myself a new hard disk and decided to transform all the style sheets, visual styles, icons and boot screen to longhorn stye. It looks great in the end! Check out the screen shots.

This has been one hectic week for me. Work after work and tasks after tasks. Not enough sleep where I stare at the clock to move much slower so that I can sleep. I really need sleep. Gosh, it' so precious.

One project is due tommorow and then I'm going hunting for some sleep and then back to action on Saturday.

Till then, zzzzzzz.....

Antique?
Saturday, February 26, 2005 1:43 PM

I was going through my stuff and I came across something really interesting. It's the Microsoft MS-DOS Operating System Version 4.01 still intact
in the box with the plastic wrapper! What's this doing under my table for all these while?

It must have came bundled with one of those old IBM PC's we had in my house. My mum was like, throw away all these old stuff, don't collect junk. How non-IT people dont know how to appreciate these stuff =(

Semester 1 Ending
Tuesday, February 22, 2005 9:57 AM

I got quiete surprised today when my lecturer said "Next week is the last week of the first semester". Time does fly very fast till I didnt even realise that my semester is coming to an end. This simply means, project due dates are also nearing!

Assignments and Projects is all I see now but it's kinda fun when you're almost completing it. You feel more "free".

Till next time. Take care guys...

Facts About Hotmail
Sunday, February 20, 2005 2:03 PM

Here are some interesting facts about Hotmail which I find very cool.

- Hotmail is used in more than 220 countries and territories, more than the number recognized by the United Nations.

- If Hotmail's 190 million active accounts were citizens of a single country, it would be the world's 5th largest country, larger than Brazil (184mm), Pakistan (159mm), Russia (144mm) and Bangladesh (141mm).

- If connected hand-to-hand, the 190 million MSN Hotmail members would circle the Earth at the equator over five and a half times.

- MSN Hotmail e-mail service members number more than the combined population of the world's 20 largest cities.

- If all MSN Hotmail members were standing in single file, they would line the length of the Great Wall of China or the Nile River (the longest river in the world) over 17 times.

- In 2001 and 2003 MSN Hotmail was featured in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest free Web-based e-mail service provider.
A small note to the side: Of course 190 million "active" accounts doesn't mean 190 million individual human beings. So be advised to take these comparisons with a grain of salt :)

I've just learned that MSN Messenger recently broke a record for 16 million users simultaneously online and IM'ing with one another. That's like all of Tokyo talking to at least one person in metro Chicago!

ASP.NET Session
Thursday, February 17, 2005 2:17 PM

Attended a session today by Frank Grimberg from Prosoft Systems International on 50 ASP.NET Tips and Tricks and it was indeed a good session.

Even though I knew some of the tips but at least now I know how it works at the backend.

I also got myself a new pair of glasses. Well, i sort of broke my old one :p so I guess it was about time I get a new one...
